At Platinum Port Containers, we stand behind the quality and reliability of every container we sell. This Warranty Policy outlines the warranty coverage provided for eligible products purchased directly from us.

Warranty Coverage

Platinum Port Containers warrants that all containers and related equipment sold by us are free from major structural defects and material failures under normal intended use at the time of delivery.

Warranty coverage may include:

  • Structural integrity of the container frame
  • Door functionality and locking mechanisms
  • Major leaks caused by structural defects
  • Wind and water tight condition for qualifying units
  • Weld integrity on factory-installed components

Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and begins on the date of delivery or pickup.

Warranty Period

  • New / One-Trip Containers: 12-Month Limited Structural Warranty
  • Used Wind & Water Tight Containers: 30-Day Limited Functional Warranty
  • As-Is or Cargo-Worthy Units: Sold without warranty unless specified otherwise
  • Modified or Customized Containers: Warranty applies only to modifications completed by Platinum Port Containers

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Cosmetic wear, scratches, dents, rust, or paint fading
  • Damage caused by misuse, overloading, improper leveling, or neglect
  • Damage caused by weather events, flooding, fire, or natural disasters
  • Condensation or moisture buildup due to environmental conditions
  • Third-party repairs, modifications, or alterations
  • Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or accessory systems installed by third parties
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Damage occurring after relocation or transportation by others
  • Flooring wear, stains, or chemical contamination

Used containers may show signs of age, repairs, patches, and previous service history consistent with intermodal equipment.

Delivery & Inspection

Customers are responsible for inspecting all products upon delivery.

Any visible damage, missing items, or delivery-related concerns must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with supporting photos and documentation.

Customers are also responsible for ensuring:

  • Proper delivery access
  • Suitable ground conditions
  • Adequate site preparation
  • Compliance with local permits, zoning, and placement regulations

Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, customers must provide:

  • Original invoice or proof of purchase
  • Container serial number (if applicable)
  • Clear photos or videos of the issue
  • Written description of the problem
  • Date the issue was discovered

Platinum Port Containers reserves the right to inspect the product before approving any repair, replacement, or compensation request.

Limitation of Liability

Platinum Port Containers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of business or income
  • Damage to stored items
  • Operational downtime
  • Labor costs performed without authorization
  • Relocation or transportation expenses

Liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

Warranty Void Conditions

This warranty becomes void if:

  • The container is modified without authorization
  • Repairs are performed by unauthorized parties
  • The unit is used for unlawful or hazardous purposes
  • Damage results from misuse or improper maintenance
  • Identification markings or serial numbers are removed or altered

Policy Updates

Platinum Port Containers reserves the right to update or modify this Warranty Policy at any time without prior notice. The version active at the time of purchase shall apply to that order.
