This Shipping Policy explains how Platinum Port Containers processes, schedules, and delivers orders for shipping containers, refrigerated containers, and related heavy equipment within the United States.
Shipping Coverage
Platinum Port Containers delivers throughout the contiguous United States. Commercial and residential delivery options are available where freight access permits. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and remote locations may require additional approval and shipping charges. Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery location is accessible for large freight vehicles.
Shipping Costs
Shipping is offered at a flat rate of $450.00 for all standard deliveries. This flat-rate fee includes standard freight delivery regardless of location or equipment size. Additional charges may apply for residential delivery access, special unloading or handling requirements, expedited shipping, or remote delivery locations.
Order Processing Time
In-stock equipment: 1 to 3 business days. Used or refurbished units: 2 to 5 business days. Customized or modified units: processing times vary. Orders are scheduled for shipment only after processing, payment verification, equipment inspection, and freight coordination are completed.
Estimated Delivery Times
Regional deliveries typically arrive within 2 to 5 business days after shipment. Long-distance or cross-country deliveries may require 5 to 10 business days. Remote locations may require additional transit time. Delivery estimates are guidelines only and are not guaranteed.
Freight Delivery
Due to the size and weight of our equipment, shipments are delivered using licensed freight carriers. Depending on the equipment and destination, delivery may involve flatbed trailers, tilt-bed trucks, or specialized oversized freight carriers. The freight carrier may contact the customer directly to arrange a delivery appointment.
Delivery Appointments
Deliveries are generally scheduled during standard business hours. Customers must be available to receive and inspect the shipment. Missed delivery appointments may result in re-delivery or storage fees.
Depot Pickup Option
Customers may request pickup from a nearby freight terminal or depot as an alternative to direct delivery. The customer arranges pickup transportation independently. Depot pickup may reduce overall freight costs in certain situations.
Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers are responsible for inspecting all equipment at the time of delivery before signing the carrier’s receipt. Visible damage must be documented on the delivery paperwork and photos are strongly recommended. If severe freight damage is present, customers should refuse delivery and contact us immediately.
Shipping Delays
Delivery schedules may be delayed due to weather conditions, carrier scheduling delays, traffic restrictions, or regulatory delays. If delays occur, we will communicate updated delivery information as available.
Non-Refundable Shipping Charges
Shipping and freight charges become non-refundable once the shipment has been dispatched. Failed deliveries caused by customer absence or inaccessible locations may result in additional charges.
